Alarm System Service Technician

Loyal Source is looking for an Alarm System Service Technician for an employment opportunity in Miramar, Florida.

About the Role

We’re seeking a highly skilled Security Service Technician with hands-on experience in both fire alarm and electronic security systems. This role is based out of our Miramar, Florida office, with daily service calls spanning from Deerfield Beach to the Florida Keys. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in the field, can troubleshoot and program advanced systems, and is comfortable managing 4–5 service tickets per day. If you’re certified, customer-focused, and fluent in Lenel, Notifier, Genetec, and Avigilon systems, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve 4–5 service tickets daily across South Florida
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain fire alarm and security systems
• Program and configure systems from Lenel, Notifier, Genetec, and Avigilon
• Perform system diagnostics, firmware updates, and device replacements
• Document service activities, parts used, and resolution details
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding service status and recommendations
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, local codes, and company standards

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in fire and security system service
• Proficient in programming and servicing some or all of the following systems: Lenel, Notifier, Genetec, and Avigilon platforms
• NICET Level I or II certification preferred
• Strong understanding of low-voltage systems and IP-based technologies
• Ability to manage multiple service calls efficiently and professionally
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with South Florida permitting and inspection requirements
• Experience with mobile service ticketing platforms
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM
