The ALDOT Environmental Specialist, Senior - Architectural History option is a permanent, full-time position with the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT). Positions are located in Montgomery, AL. This is advanced environmental assessment work involving supervision, monitoring, and reviewing subordinates and consultants. Employees in this option plan, prioritize, and supervise the work of Environmental Specialists conducting cultural/historic assessments of proposed ALDOT activities. Employees also supervise the compiling of environmental analysis, and preparation of complex Environmental Impact Statements for proposed construction projects.
