In this role, youll serve as a trusted resource for school teams across the district, helping to build their capacity to identify, evaluate, and support students protected under Section 504. Youll be a key point of contact for 504 cases district-wide, partnering closely with school-based coordinators, Health Services, and Special Education to ensure our students receive the accommodations and support they need to thrive. • Serve as the primary resource for 504 identification, evaluation, and accommodation processes
  • Facilitate 504 meetings for Hartford students attending out-of-district magnet schools
  • Serve as a liaison with charter and choice schools for Hartford students requiring Section 504 protections
  • Collaborate with Health Services on emergency care plans for medically fragile students
  • Support district-wide consistency in Section 504 compliance and services
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with schools, families, and community partners

What Were Looking For

  • Bachelors degree in human services, education, health, or a related field, plus 3+ years of experience (or 12 years of 504 compliance experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Strong knowledge of Section 504 and Title II of the ADA
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
