Job Description
Full-time Board-Certified Behavior Analyst BCBA Chaplin Elementary School, a small learning environment in northeast Connecticut, of approximately 155 students, has an immediate opening for a full-time 1.0 FTE Board Certified Behavior Analyst serving grades PK-6 to complement and enhance its team.
Qualifications
Must have BCBA license certification Trained in de-escalation and restraint or willing to be trained Working knowledge of IDEA and CT special education regulations Working knowledge of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 Ability to serve as a member of a team
Job Responsibilities
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) Write reports and present at PPT meetings Design Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and associated data collection methods that can be carried out in the school setting Model implementation of BIPs and data collection Present data from BIPs at PPT meetings Lead the schools SRBI-Behavior process Support crisis management Provide training to staff on classroom behavior management Provide support and consultation to schools FLEX program On-going consultation and collaboration with principal and Director of Special Education Other responsibilities as directed by administration
