Position Title: District Maintenance Technician
Bargaining Unit: Unaffiliated
Reports to: Director of Facilities & Transportation
Salary: $31.00/hour
Work year: 12-months
Position Summary:
The Oxford Public School District is seeking a skilled, versatile, and proactive District Maintenance Technician to join our high-performing facilities team. In this role, you will provide level one and two general maintenance to school and district equipment and property, snow removal and plowing, general set up and upkeep of district buildings, and emergency support for on-call work as needed. This position requires a motivated, experienced technician in various aspects of property and equipment maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform skilled mechanical work, and semi-skilled trades work in the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities
- Perform plumbing and low voltage systems repairs
- Perform general preventative maintenance on equipment and school facilities
- Service and maintenance of HVAC systems and/or consulting with service company
- Operate and maintain building energy management systems
- Snow removal with truck plow, UTV vehicles, snow blower, and shovels (including ice removal)
- Requires availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on winter storm conditions and 24 hour availability to respond to on-call emergencies
- Provide support to district custodians as needed
- Other duties as may be assigned by Director of Facilities & Transportation or Superintendent
Qualifications & Experience:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in facility maintenance, including plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical repairs
- Experience in electrical work, preferred
- Ability to utilize computer technology/software for facilities management and maintenance
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Director of Facilities & Transportation and/or Superintendent may deem acceptable and appropriate
