    Job Summary:

    Provide behavioral support one-on-one and in small groups of PK-8 students. Help students with behavioral expectations to promote a positive learning environment.

    Essential Job Functions / Duties / Responsibilities:

    ? Apply basic principles of applied behavior analysis in classroom settings and in the development of behavior support plans.

    ? Conduct classroom observations using behavioral measurements needed for functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)

    ? Collect and submit data needed for functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) to BCBA

    ? Assists in delivering behavior analysis services and provides direct care to individuals and/or groups of students to implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans

    ? Assist in the data collection to assess fidelity of implementation of student plans

    ? Assist in the preparation and creation of instructional materials for student behavior support plans

    ? Assists in the training of staff to effectively implement behavior analytics interventions and support plans.

    ? Remain knowledgeable and able to implement and train the basic principles of ABA

    ? Assist in the modifications of Behavior Support Plans

    ? Works positively and collaboratively with classroom teachers and paraprofessionals in the implementation of behavior support plans

    ? Attends trainings to maintain, increase, and acquire knowledge in the field of of current behavioral principles, policies, and protocols

    ? Effectively communicate with the BCBA regarding client progress based on summarization of data collected

    Attends team meetings specific to assigned students

    Requirements

    • Work Experience Requirements:
    • Experience supporting intensive needs students preferred
    • Experience working with school age children preferred
    • Experience with behavioral supports
    • Professional Requirements:
    • Implements Board of Education and school policies and rules governing student life and conduct
    • Promotes and upholds goals and objectives of the Board of Education and school
    • Maintains confidentiality regarding personal student and family information
    • Other appropriate responsibilities as assigned by the principal or BCBA
    • Education Requirements:
    • Experience working in schools supporting intensive needs students preferred
    • Current Registered Behavior Technician certification
