All Other Positions Substitute Teachers and Substitute Paraeducators

Job Description:

Provide classroom coverage and maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher/support staff.

Qualifications:

• For Substitute Teaching: 4-year college degree
• For Substitute Paraeducators: 2-year degree OR 60 college credits OR passing score on ParaPathways
• Successful experience working with children, preferably in a school setting
• Strong communication, flexibility, and professionalism

Position Details:

• Per diem, on-call position (not union affiliated)
• Flexible scheduling
• No benefits associated with this position

Rates of Pay:

• Sub Teachers = $130 per day
• Sub Teachers with CT Certification = $140 per day
• Sub Paraeducators = $17.50 per hour
