Job Description
A health services network in New York City is actively seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their medical practice in Queens as an Allergy Nurse.
About the Opportunity:
Shift: Day
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
Hours: Monday 9:00 AM-5:30 PM; Tuesday 9:00 AM-6:00 PM; Wednesday 9:00 AM-5:30 PM; Thursday 9:00 AM-6:30 PM; Friday 9:00 AM-4:00 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM-12:00 PM when the physician has hours
Setting: In-person clinical office
Responsibilities:
Administer allergy injections and monitor patients
Perform allergy testing for food, environmental, venom, drug, and chemical sensitivities
Conduct pulmonary function testing and assist with patient care
Complete insurance approvals, data entry, and other administrative tasks as needed
Restock clinical supplies and respond to patient calls and messages
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (New graduates encouraged to apply!)
Active NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
BLS/CPR certification
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work well within a team
Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and computer proficiency
Desired Skills:
Experience in allergy, ENT, or other outpatient clinical settings
Familiarity with Allergy Testing and Pulmonary Function Testing
Experience supporting Insurance Authorization workflows
