About the role
Kings River Packing is looking for an Allocation Specialist to support our Allocation Team through order distribution, inventory monitoring, and cross-functional coordination across multiple packinghouses. In this role, you will assist with daily allocation activities, manage product transfers between locations, and ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities are varied and time-sensitive, contributing to the efficiency of daily operations and seasonal peak periods. The role operates primarily in an office environment and requires flexibility, including extended hours, occasional overtime, and participation in a scheduled on-call rotation. During peak season (October through June), the position follows a mid-shift schedule (1:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
What you'll do
Track shed allocations against targets and assign orders accordingly.
Collaborate with the Allocation Team, Sales, and Operations to align order distribution with company goals.
Prepare, maintain, and update daily allocation reports using Microsoft Excel.
Communicate updates, instructions, and confirmations to sheds and Dispatch to ensure timely execution.
Partner with Sales to clarify customer requirements, specifications, and priorities.
Act as a liaison between Sales and packing sheds.
Direct product transfers between packing facilities.
Identify and escalate order-related issues to the Allocation Manager when necessary.
Support Quality Control and shed operations during import season as assigned.
Perform audits and assist in continuous improvement initiatives.
Adapt to seasonal demands, including mid-shift schedules during peak season (October–June), occasional overtime, and on-call rotation participation.
Perform other work-related duties and projects as assigned.
What We're Looking For
High School diploma required; some college coursework preferred.
Experience in supply chain, order processing, accounting, or related field preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas).
Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Demonstrated sense of urgency, accountability, adaptability, and positive attitude.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including occasional overtime and on-call rotation as needed.
Physical Demands & Abilities
Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
Ability to communicate clearly across multiple platforms.
Ability to work in office, remote, and production environments as needed.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 10 lbs.
Compensation & Benefits
$25.00 - $30.00/hour, based on experience
