We are seeking an experienced Alloy Welder to join our Production team. This role is responsible for preparing, welding, brazing, cutting, and finishing high-alloy materials to produce quality end products that meet company and industry standards. The ideal candidate brings strong technical welding expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform welding on various high-alloy metals in accordance with approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
Prepare and clean materials using grinders, steel brushes, and related equipment
Operate gas and electric welding machines, torches, cutting tools, and other welding equipment
Use burning and cutting equipment to dismantle assemblies and cut materials to required size and shape
Complete weld maps and job documentation accurately for tracking and quality purposes
Submit timesheets in a timely manner for job cost tracking
Ensure welding equipment is properly maintained and in calibration
Maintain appropriate stock of welding consumables
Support assembly functions as required by Production leadership
Travel offsite or offshore as required
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of alloy welding experience
Ability to successfully complete required welding qualification tests
Strong understanding of welding codes, specifications, and safety practices
Ability to work independently and follow detailed work instructions
Willingness to travel, including offshore or overseas assignments if required
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Ability to work on elevated structures and in various confined or controlled environments
Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Work Environment
Primarily indoor shop environment with regular outdoor work
Exposure to loud noise, fumes, dust, and welding sparks; proper PPE must be worn at all times.
Occasional travel required, including potential offshore or overseas assignments
Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and shift work to meet project deadlines.
For offshore assignments, employees must be able to obtain offshore survival certification, medical clearance, and a valid passport
