Job Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Serve as the primary on-site management representative in the absence of the Project Manager
•Support overall contract execution in accordance with scope, schedule, performance standards, and contractual requirements
•Assist with estimating, planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance and repair work
•Provide technical and operational oversight of mechanical systems and general facility maintenance activities
•Coordinate daily operations with Government representatives, subcontractors, and internal teams
•Monitor quality control, safety compliance, and performance metrics
•Track work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and service requests
•Assist with workforce supervision and task assignments
•Support reporting, documentation, and deliverables required by the Government
•Ensure continuity of operations during emergencies, after-hours events, or Project Manager absences.
Required Qualifications
•Minimum two (2) years of experience supporting or managing operations on contracts of similar size, scope, and complexity
•Minimum two (2) years of experience in estimating, planning, scheduling, and executing facilities maintenance and repair work
•Demonstrated experience with mechanical systems and general maintenance and repair to facilities
•Ability to obtain and maintain Government facility access
•Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications
•Prior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal facilities contracts
•Experience serving as a Deputy Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Alternate Project Manager
•Knowledge of Performance Work Statements (PWS) and Quality Control Plans (QCP)
•Familiarity with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and DoD safety requirements
Working Conditions
•Full-time, on-site during the Government's regular working hours
•Combination of office and field work in an active facilities maintenance environment
Required Government Contract Language
•The Alternate Project Manager shall have at least two (2) years of experience in operations on contracts of similar size, scope, and complexity.
•The ALT PM shall have two (2) years of experience in estimating, planning, scheduling, and executing the majority of work types within this contract, with emphasis on mechanical systems and general maintenance and repair to facilities.
•The Alternate Project Manager shall be on-site during the Government's regular working hours and shall be available on-site within one (1) hour after the Government's regular working hours should the Project Manager not be available.
•The Alternate Project Manager shall be reviewed and accepted by the Government to validate qualifications.
