Position Title: Alternative Education Teacher

Department/Location: West High School

Job Classification: Professional Staff

Reports to: Principal, Associate Principal

Anticipated Start Date: August 17, 2026

Anticipated Hours: 40 hours per week

Anticipated Rate of Pay: Commensurate with experience

The Wauwatosa School District (WSD) is seeking candidates interested in serving as a Alternative Education Teacher at West High School.

The Alternative Education Teacher delivers quality instruction to District students identified as at-risk, equipping and inspiring them to conquer their challenges now and in the future. Preferred skills for this position include:

Previous experience in Alternative Education programming

GED option #2 facilitation and instruction

Secondary certification and licensure with Alternative Education certification (or willingness to pursue Alternative Education certification)
