Alternative Funds Tax Manager | 2 days/week in Boston | $150k-$160k base + bonus

Fund Tax Manager (Alternatives) | 7+ Years | Downtown Boston

Daley and Associates is recruiting for a large investment management firm that, due to growth, is looking to hire a Fund Tax Manager to join a lean U.S. tax team. This position will support complex fund structures, with a strong focus on alternative funds (PE, credit, hedge, special situations, and digital asset products).

Open to candidates coming straight from public accounting or private industry.

Hybrid: 2–3 days/week in-office (Boston)

Compensation: $140k–$160k base + bonus 

What You’ll Do

• Support North American funds with a focus on alternatives and complex product structures
• Oversee outsourced tax work and governance processes
• Partner with external advisors on structuring and strategy
• Identify tax risks/issues and support planning for investment teams
• Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives

Ideal Background

• 7+ years in tax (investment funds preferred)
• CPA/advanced degree preferred; cross-border exposure is a plus
• Manager-level exposure to alternative funds
• Able to engage advisors and navigate complex topics; Excel strong (automation tools a plus)
