Description

What Will You Build?

At TMMI, we help manufacturers across the Rocky Mountain region work smarter with automation—smart sensors, robotics, and custom aluminum framing systems and machine structures that drive productivity, safety, and efficiency. In this role, you’ll transform drawings into durable, well-finished assemblies that customers rely on every day.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Bring engineered concepts to life by cutting, machining, and assembling aluminum structures. One day it’s a workstation; the next it’s a machine guard or a custom cart. You’ll interpret CAD prints, plan the assembly sequence, and finish each build to precise tolerances.

Key Activities

  • Cut aluminum extrusion and parts using automated saw equipment to exact dimensions.
  • Drill, mill, tap, and deburr components; verify critical dimensions and tolerances with measuring tools.
  • Assemble frames, workstations, guards, carts, and custom structures; install brackets, fasteners, panels, and accessories to print.
  • Read CAD drawings, assembly prints, and work instructions; identify dimensions, hole locations, hardware, and assembly sequences.
  • Communicate drawing discrepancies and improvement ideas to engineering and project teams.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop; support inventory management and material handling; operate forklifts as needed.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement to enhance quality and throughput.

Is This You?

  • 2+ years of fabrication, manufacturing, assembly, machining, or related trade experience.
  • Can read mechanical drawings and blueprints with confidence.
  • Hands-on with saws, drill presses, mills, and similar equipment.
  • Mechanical aptitude; comfortable with hand and power tools.
  • Forklift certified or open to obtaining certification.

How You Work

  • Detail-oriented and proud of your workmanship.
  • Independent contributor who thrives in a team setting.
  • Positive, curious, and eager to learn.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment.
