Title Alumni & Development Communications Specialist, Staff Assistant Department Summary

Position Summary
This position will create, design, and disseminate all marketing and communications efforts for the Office of Alumni and Development. The primary responsibility will be refreshing the department website content in effort to create an engaging on-line presence of the Alumni and development activities, as well as being responsible for content creation and posting and monitoring of department social media channels. Additional design work for the development and stewardship team is required as well as participation in all department sponsored events and activities.
This position is an exempt, APA unit position and is subject to the terms of that union agreement.
Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, some nights, and weekends
Essential Duties
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required
Experience in designing marketing and communications materials, including print, web, digital and social media
Experience with the following platforms: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Drupal, and all Adobe products
Must possess excellent writing, editing and communication skills
Ability to work well with minimal supervision and in a collaborative setting
Ability to produce high quality work under tight deadlines
Ability to actively contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Must be positive, collaborative, diligent, and capable of managing multiple priorities/projects
Some nights and weekends may be required
