Alumni Relations Event/Building Attendant

Special Events Worker

This is an on-call, event/building attendant position with flexible scheduling and is not benefits-eligible. Hours will vary based on event needs and will primarily include evenings and weekends. The UNM Alumni Association is seeking a personable, reliable, and highly motivated individual to serve as an ambassador for both the organization and the University.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee events at Hodgin Hall Alumni Center and the Alumni Memorial Chapel
• Open and close facilities and remain onsite during scheduled events
• Serve as the on-site host, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for clients and guests
• Coordinate with vendors and assist with event logistics, including basic A/V setup and troubleshooting
• Provide excellent customer service and act as the primary point of contact during events
• Ensure facility use aligns with university policies and event guidelines

Minimum Qualifications

Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work evenings and weekends Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented Ability to work independently and manage event responsibilities

Additional Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move event-related equipment as needed

Employment Conditions
