From gourmet pub fare and bustling Sunday brunches to elegant holiday celebrations, Vintage makes every day a special occasion. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated AM Chef (Line Cook) who thrives in a high-standard kitchen and has a genuine drive to provide our guests with an exceptional dining experience.
The AM Chef plays a key role in our kitchen's success and customer satisfaction by preparing food to the Executive Chef's exact specifications. You will assist the Executive and Sous Chefs with daily tasks, ensuring that all stations are ready for service and that every dish meets our Four-Star standards.
Station Management: Set up, stock, and maintain stations with all necessary supplies for the shift.
Culinary Execution: Prepare high-quality food for service, including cooking eggs, all Breakfast and Lunch dishes.
Team Collaboration: Cook menu items in cooperation with the kitchen team and promptly follow instructions from the Executive and Sous Chefs.
Quality & Timing: Ensure all dishes come out simultaneously, executing them with consistent quality and in a timely fashion.
Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a clean, organized workspace, properly store food, and strictly comply with all nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations.
Inventory: Stock and manage kitchen inventory appropriately.
Professionalism: Maintain a positive, professional, and "common sense" approach when interacting with coworkers and handling job responsibilities. Must be able to work independently.
Technical Skill: Solid understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Efficiency: Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks within a fast-paced environment.
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with culinary best practices and a commitment to maintaining a premium dining standard.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work on your feet for shifts of eight hours or more.
Professionalism: High level of professionalism and excellent team collaboration skills. Must be able to work independently.
