Location: Canopy by Hilton Downtown Ithaca - Strand Cafe

About Us: At Canopy by Hilton, we pride ourselves on providing an exceptional experience for our guests.  We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Breakfast Cook to join our team and help us continue to serve up delicious mornings!

Position: Full-Time Breakfast Cook
Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM (may vary)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast items, including eggs, omelets and specialty dishes.
• Bake fresh pastries daily, ensuring high-quality standards and consistency.
• Follow recipes and presentation standards to create appealing and delicious dishes.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
• Maintain proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Adapt to special dietary requests and preferences as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a breakfast cook or similar role, preferably in a hotel or café setting.
• Strong knowledge of breakfast cooking techniques and pastry preparation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Creative mindset with a passion for food and baking.
• Positive attitude and strong team player with good communication skills.
• Certification in food handling or culinary arts is a plus.
