Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements, providing excellent guest relations from the moment they walk in
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring timely and efficient service
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations and upselling strategies
• Serve food and beverages responsibly, adhering to food safety standards and sanitation protocols, including proper food handling and kitchen experience
• Clear tables promptly, bus tables as needed, and maintain cleanliness of dining areas to uphold high sanitation standards
• Manage cash handling accurately, process payments efficiently, and operate cashiering systems with basic math proficiency
• Assist in food preparation or supporting kitchen staff during busy periods while maintaining a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction

Requirements

• Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments, including host/hostess or bussing roles, is highly desirable
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and handle diverse situations gracefully
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and transaction processing accurately
• Experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant settings is a plus but not required
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in a hospitality environment that may include nightclub-style service or late hours
