Overton Brooks VA Medical Center is recruiting for a full-time permanent board certified/board eligible cardiovascular electrophysiologist physician. The cardiovascular electrophysiologist section is a pillar of the institution and boasts a strong clinical and teaching reputation in the region. Highlights/Requirements

• Starting base salary: $360,000 - $390,000 per year
• Daily schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
• Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery from any U.S. State
• Clinical practice
• Teaching Cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students
• Performs inpatient or outpatient cardiovascular consultation services
• Reviews physical requirements and conducts physical examinations of various categories of military and civilian personnel
• Serves as academic faculty for cardiovascular fellowship training program
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Cardiac Electrophysiologist
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
• Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State

• Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): Assistance with payment of outstanding medical school loans.
• Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
• Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
• CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)
• Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
