About the Role

The Amazon Business Manager owns the day-to-day operational health of Ariat's Amazon business and is a key contributor to channel performance and growth - but the role is more than task execution. This person understands how the operational details they manage connect to broader channel performance. They can move from resolving an EDI error to identifying what it signals about a larger inventory or compliance issue, and they communicate and act on those insights. This is a manager-level individual contributor role: you are accountable for account operations and results, and you partner with the Director, Amazon Sales on planning, strategy, and growth.

Amazon experience is required. The right candidate knows Vendor Central inside and out, can manage a high volume of recurring work with accuracy, and brings the analytical thinking needed to spot problems before they escalate.

Amazon is one of Ariat's most important and complex sales channels. The work done in this role - keeping account operations clean, orders accurate, and compliance current - directly affects channel performance and Ariat's relationship with Amazon. This person sees the full picture: they know why the details matter, not just what needs to get done. They own the operational foundation of the channel and bring the insight that helps shape where Ariat's Amazon business goes next.

Account Ownership & Performance

• Serve as the primary point of accountability for the operational health of Ariat's Amazon business across 1P and 3P.
• Build and deliver reporting on Amazon operational performance for the Director and Sales leadership.

Account Administration & Platform Upkeep

• Own Vendor Central account health through weekly hygiene, including EDI error resolution, pricing error management, Theia uploads, cost price updates, 845 feed adjustments, PO adjustments, exclusion list management, Andon Cord response, and stranded inventory clearance.
• Serve as the day-to-day contact for issues surfaced through Vendor Central, Amazon's retail team, and the RBS catalog team - maintaining listing and order accuracy at the UPC level.
• Monitor catalog accuracy on a weekly basis and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Manage 3P reporting, listing error resolution, suppression clearance, and pesticide flag resolution.

Order Management

• Process and manage vendor-initiated orders and MAP removals
• Support seasonal order planning including direct ship programs, 846 launch and management, and ordering on key programs.
• Partner to resolve distribution center-level issues

Compliance & Brand Protection

• Track and manage MAP pricing compliance weekly, sharing updates with Amazon and supporting root cause discussions.
• Maintain Brand Registry, Project Zero counterfeit tools, and LBB performance monitoring.

Relationship Management

• Build strong working relationships with Amazon's vendor management, retail, and catalog teams, serving as a trusted partner who can solve problems collaboratively.
• Coordinate with Ariat's Sales Planning, Finance, Merchandising, Catalog, and Operations teams to keep Amazon execution running smoothly.
• Participate in Amazon business reviews and planning discussions, and help prepare business summaries and presentations.

Growth & Strategic Contribution

• Identify and surface growth opportunities within the Amazon business, such as assortment gaps, improved fill and confirmation rates
• Contribute data-driven insight to seasonal planning, assortment, and forecasting discussions.
• Bring a growth mindset beyond day-to-day execution, contributing to Ariat's longer-term Amazon channel strategy.
• Assisting with other responsibilities based on business needs.

About You

• 5+ years of experience in an account management, e-commerce operations, or related analytical role - with demonstrated ownership of business outcomes, not just task completion.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Vendor Central is required.
• Strong analytical thinker who can connect operational details to business outcomes and communicate findings clearly.
• Solid command of retail math, business performance metrics, and large data sets.
• Comfortable asking "why" - not just resolving issues, but understanding what caused them and what they mean for the broader business.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple recurring tasks and deadlines simultaneously without losing accuracy.
• Advanced Excel required; experience with Tableau or similar reporting tools is a plus.
• Clear written and verbal communicator; able to translate data into plain-language summaries for cross-functional teams.
• Able to work independently in a remote environment and manage priorities without close supervision.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Background in western wear, workwear, footwear, or apparel is a plus.
• Ability to travel as needed.

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $120,000 per year.

The salary is determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data for geographic locations. Ariat in good faith believes that this posted compensation range is accurate for this role at this location at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
