Amazon Fulfillment Center Warehouse Associate

Job Overview

You'll be part of the Amazon warehouse team that gets orders ready for customers relying on Amazon services. Our fast-paced, physical roles take you to the heart of Amazon operations—whether you're processing customer orders, handling returns, or working in a same-day delivery site. You'll be stowing, picking, packing, or managing customer returns throughout the warehouse.

Basic Job Requirements

  1. Be 18 years or older

  2. Understand and follow instructions in English

  3. Push utility carts up to 60 pounds

  4. Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts

  5. Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around

  6. Go up and down stairs (where applicable)

  7. Work at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable)

  8. Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards

What You'll Do

  1. Receive and put away inventory in designated warehouse locations

  2. Pick customer orders from shelves and pack items for shipment

  3. Load packed boxes onto trucks and unload incoming freight from trailers

  4. Use scanners to read bar codes on products

  5. View prompts on screens and follow direction for some tasks

  6. Troubleshoot problems

  7. Ensure product meets quality requirements

  8. Some roles offer the opportunity to learn how to operate powered industrial trucks (PIT), such as forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers. Equipment training and certification are provided free of cost.

Schedule Options

  1. Shift Options. Early Morning, Daytime, Evening, and Overnight hours.

  2. Weekly Hours. Full-Time (40 hours), Reduced-Time (30-39 hours), Part-Time (20-29 hours), or Flex-Time (0-19 hours).

  3. Schedule Flexibility. Choose from a Fixed weekly schedule or Flexible Schedules.

  4. Work-Life Balance. Select shifts offer different weekend options (including 2-day and 3-day weekends), with opportunities for overtime when needed.

  5. Operating Hours. Our sites operate 24/7, so you can choose the shift that works best for you.

Safety & Your Workspace

  1. Safety. Your safety is our top priority. We provide protective gear and all teams share safety tips daily. Our state-of-the-art facilities are clean, well-organized, and designed with your safety in mind.

  2. Equipment. You'll be working around moving equipment – PIT equipment, such as forklifts, reach trucks, and order pickers, as well as mobile carts, dollies, and rolling cages.

  3. Physical Activity. Some activities may require standing in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbing stairs.

Work Conditions

  1. Temperature. Climate-controlled facilities maintain temperatures between 60°F and 90°F in most areas.

  2. Noise level. It can get noisy at times. We provide hearing protection if you need it.

  3. Dress code. Relaxed and comfortable. Closed-toe shoes required. Protective safety footwear required in select areas. $110 Zappos gift code provided for your first day.
