    Job Description

    Role Overview

Join our clinic pharmacy team as a Certified Pharmacy Technician supporting safe, accurate, and timely medication management for our patients. You’ll collaborate closely with pharmacists, providers, nurses, and medical assistants to prepare medications, process orders, maintain inventories, and keep medication records precise and up to date—all while safeguarding patient privacy and adhering to pharmacy regulations and clinic policies.

    Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

    A Day in the Life

Your morning begins by reviewing the queue of medication orders, confirming completeness, and flagging any discrepancies for the pharmacist. You prepare, package, and label medications under pharmacist supervision, then update electronic health records and pharmacy systems to reflect accurate medication histories and reconciliation. Midday, you coordinate refills, communicate with outside pharmacies and provider offices, and answer patient questions—routing clinical inquiries to the pharmacist. Throughout the day, you track inventory, check expiration dates and recalls, and help with controlled substance documentation according to regulatory standards. You finish by organizing the work area, ensuring safe storage conditions, and confirming that records and reports are complete.

    What You’ll Do

    • Monitor inventory for expirations, recalls, and proper storage conditions.
    • Support controlled-substance documentation and inventory procedures as regulations permit.
    • Prepare medications for dispensing or administration following clinic procedures and pharmacist guidance.
    • Engage patients professionally on medication-related questions; refer clinical inquiries appropriately.
    • Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and clinic privacy policies.
    • Enter and maintain accurate information in EHR, pharmacy, and related computer systems.
    • Assist with reports, recordkeeping, and medication-related paperwork.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
    • Follow federal and state pharmacy regulations, clinic policies, and medication safety procedures.
    • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, MAs, pharmacists, and the broader care team.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
