Job Summary
The Ambulatory Medical Records (AMR) Coordinator supports the successful implementation, training, and optimization of the electronic health record (EHR) system across ambulatory settings. This role is responsible for onboarding new providers and staff, delivering EHR training, monitoring system utilization, and supporting clinical documentation compliance. The AMR Coordinator works collaboratively with clinic leadership, clinical staff, corporate AMR teams, and IT to ensure efficient workflows, adherence to best practices, and continuous improvement in EHR adoption and performance.
Essential Functions
• Coordinates onboarding and EHR readiness for new providers and clinical staff, including system training, go-live support, and documentation expectations. • Delivers training on AMR workflows, tools, and policies to support standardization across clinics and ensure compliance with organizational guidelines. • Monitors EHR utilization and documentation quality, including encounter closure rates, care summary completion, and adherence to established workflows. • Partners with clinic leadership and corporate AMR teams to identify performance gaps, provide coaching, and develop corrective action plans to improve adoption and outcomes. • Tracks clinic performance on key metrics related to Meaningful Use, quality programs, and regulatory reporting, offering support to meet compliance goals. • Supports provider and clinic setup in AMR systems, including credentialing coordination, permissions, interfaces, and system access. • Maintains and updates AMR-related training content, quick reference guides, and internal documentation to reflect current best practices. • Facilitates workflow optimization by analyzing user feedback, identifying inefficiencies, and collaborating on improvements with stakeholders. • Compiles and shares AMR utilization reports, change requests, and tracking tools with local, regional, and corporate stakeholders.

Qualifications
Associate Degree in a healthcare, clinical, or IT-related field required 2-4 years of experience in a physician office or ambulatory care setting preferred 1-2 years of experience in clinical training, informatics, or EHR optimization preferred Experience with Athena Clinicals or other EHR platforms preferred

• Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, clinical workflows, and regulatory documentation requirements. • Strong presentation and training facilitation skills for diverse clinical audiences. • Ability to analyze documentation metrics and translate data into actionable improvement plans. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence providers, staff, and leadership. • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data integrity and system accuracy. • Collaborative mindset and ability to work across departments and with external stakeholders.
