About the role
- Two types of ASL Tutors: Conversation OR Drop-In
- Facilitate peer-to-peer conversation sessions using ASL with students enrolled in ASL classes about an assigned topic. Drop-in tutors are available to help students with grammar help or coursework.
Qualifications
- Must be a current Bethel student
- Must have proficiency in ASL
- Must fulfill assigned weekly appointments for the entire semester
Work Environment:
In-person, on campus during business hours or via Zoom by student request
Physical Demands:
Able to stay seated for extended period (2+ hours)
Expected Hours of Work:
Based on department need/student demand.
Conversation tutors are paid for the time that they have appointments (approx 2 hours/week)
Drop-IN tutors are assigned 2 hours/ week.
Payrate: $14.25/hour
