The Delivery Assurance team within Microsoft Frontier Company advances delivery health across the Americas by helping teams identify risk earlier, strengthen execution discipline, and improve predictability across customer engagements. The team works directly with regional leaders, delivery management, FDE studios, field delivery partners, and senior customer stakeholders to apply delivery standards, practical field guidance, portfolio insights, and AI-enabled signals that help teams make faster decisions and deliver stronger outcomes.

The Delivery Assurance Leader for the Americas is accountable for leading the regional assurance practice across Microsoft Frontier Company, spanning engagement-level quality interventions, portfolio-level delivery health, standards adherence, and recovery support. This leader will own the Americas assurance rhythms, partner directly with regional executives and field delivery leaders, engage with C-suite customer partners when needed, and work across Microsoft to remove blockers, improve delivery confidence, and scale repeatable excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Americas Delivery Assurance practice across Microsoft Frontier Company, owning the regional assurance rhythms that connect delivery health reviews, risk calibration, standards adherence, field guidance, and recovery actions to measurable business and customer outcomes.

  • Build healthier delivery portfolios by partnering directly with regional executives, delivery management, FDE studios, and field delivery partners to identify risk earlier, improve predictability, and guide targeted interventions before issues escalate.

  • Drive faster and better delivery excellence by mobilizing best practices, quality reviews, telemetry, customer signals, and AI-enabled insights to focus leadership attention, improve decision-making, and accelerate corrective action.

  • Demonstrate cross-Microsoft leadership by collaborating across Frontier Company, including ISD and FDE studios, engineering, support, product, and regional stakeholder teams to remove delivery blockers, support recovery, simplify delivery practices, and scale repeatable standards across the Americas.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related field AND 10+ years consulting/professional services delivery, project management, practice management, or related field

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years people management experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related field AND 15+ years of experience in consulting/professional services delivery, project management, or practice management, or leading portfolio management, complex programs, or revenue-driven (e.g., $10 million +) programs

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

  • 2+ years consulting, professional services, or related financial management experience (e.g., cost management, revenue forecasting).

  • Agile certification, Scrum Master, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Professional Scrum Master One (PSM1) certification.

  • Certification in relevant industry.

  • Experiencing in creating and managing Intellectual Property (IP).

  • Experience in creating publications.

Other

The successful candidate will demonstrate competencies including:

  • 12+ years working in a global consulting organization, preferably Big 5 Consulting or similar.

  • Demonstrated impact as a coach and mentor.

  • Over 10 years of experience with a track record of working cross-functionally, successfully influencing and collaborating with multiple teams and leaders.

  • 10+ years of delivery leadership, delivery excellence, risk management, delivery management, or recovery leadership experience working with internal teams and external enterprise customers.

  • Demonstrated decisiveness and courage to raise challenging issues, guide senior stakeholders through difficult delivery tradeoffs, and collaborate across teams to find the right solutions.

  • Experience designing and executing continuous improvement, quality assurance, recovery, and optimization programs at regional or global scale.

  • Deep business acumen with the ability to connect delivery health, customer outcomes, commercial impact, and executive priorities.

  • Proficient in consulting delivery, enterprise transformation, executive stakeholder management, and C-suite customer engagement.

  • Exceptional executive-level communication skills and executive presence, able to simplify quality insights, risk trends, recovery plans, and improvement opportunities for technical, business, and C-suite audiences.

  • Exhibits strategic thinking, effective problem-solving, and thorough root cause analysis abilities.

  • Demonstrates a process-driven approach and a dedication to continuous improvement.

The role is based in the Americas region and will require 25-50% regional and global travel.

Consulting Project Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $140,500 - $268,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $175,900 - $288,000 per year.
