Join AmeriCorps as an Elementary School Based Health Center Health Educator at Erie Family Health Centers. This year-long, full-time service position provides the opportunity to support students, families, and communities while building professional skills through mentorship, training, and hands-on service experience.

This is a year-long, full-time AmeriCorps position requiring completion of a minimum of 1,700 service hours. The work schedule for this position is aligned with Erie's hours of operations.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Deliver health education and wellness programming to elementary school students.
Provide one-on-one nutrition and health coaching support.
Coordinate student access to vision and dental services.
Plan and facilitate health promotion events and outreach activities.
Support youth engagement initiatives and advisory boards.
Participate in community outreach and resource navigation activities.
Applications must be submitted by September 13, 2026, to be considered for full-time opportunities. Anticipated start of Monday, September 21st 2026.
Education
Skills and Knowledge
Required:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desire and ability to present information to groups.
Current CPR Certification.
U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
Ability to meet AmeriCorps background check requirements.
Preferred:
Experience in community health, education, or social services.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
EPIC experience.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
