JOBSUMMARY

The Operator position will be responsible for maintaining the machine output levels while performing qualitychecks.Thepositionresponsibilitiesconsistofmachineoperations,partspreparation,loading of components, parts inspections, maintenance, and quality inspections.

PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES

1.      FollowallsafetyandHESSpolicies.

2.      Mustbeabletoreadandfollowwrittenandverbalinstructions.

3.      Musthavestrongworkingknowledgeofbasiccomputerprogramsanddataentryskills.

4.      Musthavestrongmathematicalskills(demonstrateatinterview)

5.      Willbeexpectedtooperateandmaintaincurrentmachineoutputlevels.

6.      Maintainextensivedailylogsandperformancecharts.

7.      Accuratelyidentifyincomingmaterialandoutgoingproduct.

8.      Knowledgeofdefectsandabilitytoseethemforadjustingthemachineandtroubleshooting

9.      Abilitytouseascaleandcalipersaccuratelyandcorrectly,(demonstrateatinterview)

10.  Usingthe5SPrincipals,mustmaintainacleanandorganized department. Do daily, weekly, and monthly PMs on machines and repairs as needed.

11.  Beingabletoworkwithsupplychaintogetneededpartsaswellasbeingateam player.

QUALIFICATIONSANDEXPERIENCE

1.      HighSchooldiplomaorGeneralEducationDiploma(GED)required

2.      Musthavebasicindustrialmaintenanceknowledge(willbetestedatinterview)

3.      Abilitytoaccuratelyreadandinterpretdocumentssuchassafetyrules,operatinginstructions, maintenance check sheets, and procedure manuals.

4.      Abilitytoworkwithandlearnfromcoworkersinalldepartmentsfortrainingandcrosstraining as required.

5.      Experiencerunningindustrialmachineryinafactorysettingisamust.Operatingammoloading equipment is preferred.

6.      Theabilitytoworkindependentlyorinagroupisnecessary.Managementexperienceisaplus.

 Theworkisprimarilyperformedinatypicalproductionenvironment.Wearsafetyattireorprotective gear, may be exposed to distracting noise levels, may work within a few feet of other workers. For the most part ambient room temperatures and lighting as found in a typical factory environment.Overtimewillberequiredforthispositionattimesbasedonproductionneeds.
