Ammonia Refrigeration Technician

Food Manufacturing company in Norcross has two openings for Ammonia Refrigeration Technicians / Mechanics

• 1st Shift: 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 12:30 AM
• Some weekend hours required

We're looking for skilled technicians who can handle the maintenance and operation of industrial ammonia refrigeration and related utility systems. You'll work independently to keep critical equipment running, solve problems as they come up, and respond when emergency repairs are needed.

Job Duties:

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and installations on ammonia refrigeration equipment
• Diagnose and fix mechanical issues with compressors, pumps, and related systems
• Conduct routine inspections and keep detailed maintenance logs
• Monitor system performance and make adjustments to optimize operations
• Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors during facility projects
• Respond to equipment failures and emergency situations promptly
• Maintain a safe work environment following all industry regulations and company policies
• Support production schedules by performing planned maintenance during off-peak times

Skill Requirements

• Proven background working with industrial ammonia refrigeration systems
• Knowledge of applicable safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Physically capable of performing tasks like climbing, lifting, and working in various conditions
• Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours including weekends and emergency call-ins
