Hire Type: Direct Hire/Permanent
Target Pay Rate: $50,000-$70,000 per year

Must-Have Skills:
- 1+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience (or 4+ years of related industrial maintenance experience)
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration and/or boiler systems
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
- Experience with industrial equipment, utilities, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and equipment documentation
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices
Job Summary:
The Industrial Refrigeration & Boiler Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing industrial refrigeration, boiler, and utility systems within a manufacturing environment. This role supports plant reliability by performing preventive maintenance, responding to equipment failures, and ensuring critical utility systems operate safely and efficiently.
The Industrial Refrigeration & Boiler Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing industrial refrigeration, boiler, and utility systems within a manufacturing environment. This role supports plant reliability by performing preventive maintenance, responding to equipment failures, and ensuring critical utility systems operate safely and efficiently.
Job Duties:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial refrigeration, boiler, and utility equipment
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
- Inspect, audit, and monitor equipment to identify maintenance needs before failures occur
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues
- Assist with maintenance of motors, controls, instrumentation, PLCs, piping, and mechanical systems
- Support maintenance planning and equipment improvement initiatives
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and complete work orders
- Work closely with Operations and Maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and minimize production interruptions
- Follow all safety procedures, food safety requirements, and good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while complying with company safety standards
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical school, military training, or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred
- RETA certification is preferred or willingness to obtain certification
- Experience with three or more of the following is highly preferred:
- Ammonia refrigeration
- Boiler and engine systems
- Electrical systems and motor controls
- PLCs, controls, and instrumentation
- Pneumatics and hydraulics
- Mechanical systems
- Preventive and predictive maintenance
- Site utilities
- Pipefitting and welding
- Machining or metal fabrication
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be willing to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed
