Analog Circuit Design Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Analog Circuit Design Engineer in Littleton, Colorado for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support the development of advanced avionics electronics through analog circuit design, schematic development, PCB layout support, electrical analysis, troubleshooting, and hardware verification. The engineer will work across the aerospace hardware development lifecycle and support both component-level and system-level testing.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent combined education and experience.
• 3+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Experience with analog circuit design at the circuit-card or board level.
• Experience developing and capturing electrical schematics.
• Experience supporting PCB layout activities.
• Experience performing technical evaluation of designs and requirements verification.
• Experience supporting multiple phases of the aerospace hardware development lifecycle.
• Experience performing failure analysis and troubleshooting of electronic hardware.
• Strong electrical systems analysis and design skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively with engineering teams, management, subcontractors, and customers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance while on contract.

Preferred Skills

• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience with analog circuit design for avionics, missile, or space applications.
• Motor-control and control-theory experience.
• Experience with avionics electronics design.
• Experience using Xpedition or similar schematic-capture tools.
• Experience with PSPICE, Saber, or comparable circuit-simulation software.
• Experience performing Worst Case Analysis.
• Experience performing Electrical Parts Stress Analysis.
• Experience performing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis or FMECA.
• Experience investigating failures at the circuit-card, unit, or system level.
• Experience with PWM hardware or power-control circuits.
• Experience with missile or rocket-motor electronics.
• Experience with electrical wire-harness analysis.
• Experience with MIL-STD-1553, IRIG-106, GPS, or related avionics interfaces.
• Experience testing Line Replaceable Units supporting military aircraft or other aerospace platforms.

What You’ll Do

• Design and capture analog electrical schematics.
• Support PCB board-layout development and design reviews.
• Perform electrical Worst Case Analysis and Electrical Parts Stress Analysis.
• Evaluate circuit behavior, component performance, and design margins.
• Support design and requirements-verification activities.
• Troubleshoot test anomalies and investigate electronic hardware failures.
• Support circuit-card, unit-level, and system-level testing.
• Generate, review, and present product-certification documentation.
• Support hardware design throughout the aerospace product-development lifecycle.
• Perform or support circuit simulation and analytical modeling.
• Coordinate with systems, test, manufacturing, and other engineering disciplines.
• Present technical findings, recommendations, and design decisions to internal and external stakeholders.

Pay

• $68.51 per hour.
