Analog Power Design Engineer
Location: McLeansville, NC
Pay: Up to $58.37/hour
Work Type: Onsite or Hybrid/Flex
Clearance: Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)


Overview:
Seeking an Analog Power Design Engineer to support the development of high-voltage power systems and undersea communication electronics. This role focuses on power electronics design, circuit analysis, system integration, and testing within advanced defense programs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop analog and power electronics systems
  • Support requirements analysis, system integration, and verification
  • Design high-voltage DC power systems and converters (W to kW range)
  • Perform circuit design, analysis, and troubleshooting
  • Develop power system architectures, grounding strategies, and control systems
  • Conduct testing using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and lab equipment
  • Support technical reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Create and maintain specifications, requirements, and verification procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and program leadership

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience (or Master’s with 3+ years)
  • Strong experience in analog circuit design and power electronics
  • Experience with mixed-signal design and circuit analysis tools
  • Knowledge of feedback/control systems and power system architecture
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with electronic test equipment and lab validation

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with high-voltage DC (HVDC) systems and power transmission
  • Experience designing power converters (low to high power ranges)
  • Background in undersea systems, defense, or ruggedized electronics
  • Experience in R&D and advanced electronics development
  • Strong communication and technical leadership capabilities
