Title:

Analysis and Assessments Support - Subject Matter Expert

KBR Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and motivated candidate to provide support to the Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC) as an Analysis and Assessments Support Subject Matter Expert in Colorado Springs, CO.

The perfect candidate will have a strong background in space strategic planning, architecture development, studies and analysis, and communications ability to convey complex ideas in a manner that is consumable by your average operator as well as congressional staffer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in USSF/SWAC strategic planning, requirements analysis, and architecture development using analytic methods across multiple space missions. Conduct space-related studies and analysis to evaluate current capabilities, conduct gap analysis, and leverage available intelligence to support the recommendation of future USSF architectures and space weapons systems.
  • Apply knowledge of existing and planned USSF capabilities, including, but not limited to, command, control and communication (C3); data transportation and data management; position, navigation, and timing/NAVWAR; space domain awareness; missile warning and missile tracking; environmental monitoring; intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance; counterspace; and logistics and sustainment.
  • Develop and manage multi-year analytic strategy to guide assessment activities.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies and methodologies into space architectures.
  • Assess proposed changes to USSF infrastructure and architecture to ensure that proposed future capabilities are architecturally sound, meet requirements and standards, strategies and guidance, and are maintainable.
  • Perform operations unique trades and analysis for space and associated ground systems. These trades and analysis include, but are not limited to, quantitative analysis of system upgrades and enhancements to determine acceptability in design and/or impact to the operational baseline.
  • Present results of multi-factor optimization balancing system performance factors from multiple missions.
  • Develop, document and coordinate USSF space system requirements.
  • Create, coordinate, and maintain Chief of Space Operations Force Design. This is a strategic planning document presenting an architecture of recommended space capabilities at particular time intervals countering projected foreign threat capabilities in those timeframes and including recommended performance parameters across specific space systems. Update the Force Design periodically throughout the year and conduct a formal annual coordination cycle of the Force Design.
  • Shape annual planning deliberations and planning choice selection. Formalize mission and system performance parameters into formal requirements and develop cost estimates.
  • Base the Force Design on quantitative and qualitative technical analysis to support recommendations.
  • Provide technical leadership as an Analysis and Assessment SME, leveraging engineering principles, quantitative and qualitative methodologies, and performance metrics to assess mission effectiveness and inform decision-making; synthesize and translate complex technical analyses into compelling visualizations, graphics, and presentation materials for technical and senior leadership audiences.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance is required to be considered for this position, which is something only a U.S. citizen can obtain.
  • Experience in providing strategic advice, technical guidance, analysis and recommendations for mission and program challenges.
  • Experience with space operations or space acquisition.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely using styles and techniques appropriate to the audience.
  • Ability to create presentations (PowerPoint) to convey complex ideas and technical data in a consumable manner.

Desired:

  • Previous experience at SWAC or on a HHQ, Joint Staff, or CCMD staff is highly desired.
  • BA/BS or MA/MS desired.

Basic Compensation:

$130,000 - $145,000

This range is for Colorado only.

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
