Base Salary: $90k $125k + Bonus

ABOUT THE ROLE

This Analyst or Associate-level opportunity sits within the Market Risk Management function of a leading global financial institution, focused on the oversight and governance of electronic and algorithmic trading activity across the region. The role offers a unique seat at the intersection of technology, trading, and risk reviewing new electronic trading systems, supporting the algo control framework, and driving regulatory gap analyses in a fast-evolving space. It's an ideal fit for an early-to-mid career risk professional with a strong understanding of electronic trading environments who is equally comfortable with governance and policy work as they are with quantitative and technical analysis.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review new electronic trading systems and material changes to existing systems, assessing associated financial and non-financial risks within the firm's EAT risk framework
  • Facilitate the annual control attestation process;approve automated control reviews and associated limits
  • Review relevant electronic and algorithmic trading incidents and facilitate cross-functional reviews with key stakeholders
  • Support the development and maintenance of risk-owned policies and procedures related to electronic and algorithmic trading
  • Support the running of Risk Committees including preparation and production of management information and governance materials
  • Review new and upcoming electronic and algorithmic trading-specific regulations;perform gap analyses with firm stakeholders to determine compliance levels, identify gaps, and develop remediation plans
  • Contribute to the continued development of the Algo Control Framework and work with key stakeholders to embed new processes and controls
  • Support the broader EAT Risk Framework and governance infrastructure across the region
