Acknowledge Job Description:The North American Banks Research team covers 40+ stocks across the US and Canada with over $4 trillion in market capitalization, including US large- and mid-cap banks, Canadian banks, and M&A boutiques. The team is looking for someone with intellectual curiosity and the aptitude to ramp quickly in a fast-evolving banking sector, undergoing secular shifts tied to stablecoins and digital assets, AI, and a shifting regulatory backdrop.The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience, preferably at a bank in financial reporting or on the sell-side covering banking or financial services. This role provides an opportunity to work with top-ranked analysts across all aspects of the research process-from idea generation to company meetings-and plays a critical role in financial modeling, qualitative analysis, and writing research reports.Responsibilities:Conducts analysis of company financial data, news, and other information to identify opportunities and risks related to companies, industries, or financial instrumentsAttends to day-to-day sales, trading, and hedging transaction needs, responding to client inquiries, logs, and records dataAssists with the preparation of associated financial models and written reportsPerform complex financial modeling & valuation workWrite regular industry and company reports and company launch initiations from scratchDevelop databases integral to our research productDemonstrate strong industry knowledge and business judgmentWork with Senior Analysts to develop key industry themesBuild relationships and facilitate information flow with contacts at covered companiesParticipate and contribute to client meetings and eventsAttend meetings and interact with key opinion leadersClosely follow and understand market, industry and company specific activitySeek out new, unusual sources of informationInteract regularly with clientsQualificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience, CFA preferred 2-4 years of experience focusing in equity research, buy side experience or investment banking experienceStrong writing and modeling skills.
