Analyst: Board Certified Behavior

JOB SUMMARY

The Center/School-Based Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) provides behavioral assessment, consultation, and intervention services for students with disabilities who demonstrate complex cognitive, behavioral, communication, and adaptive functioning needs. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized behavior support plans that promote student access to instruction, independence, social-emotional growth, and meaningful participation in school environments. This role emphasizes evidence-based practices, staff training, family collaboration, and compliance with educational and behavioral standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Designs and conducts assessments to identify skill deficits, behavioral functions (Functional Behavior Assessment), and environmental reinforcers.
  • Designs, implements, and monitors individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) using evidence-based behavior change procedures and interventions.
  • Collaborates with special education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families to support student behavioral, communication, and adaptive goals.
  • Provides direct consultation and coaching to classroom staff on behavior management strategies, de-escalation techniques, reinforcement systems, and data collection procedures.
  • Analyzes behavioral and educational data to evaluate intervention effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for instructional and behavioral programming.
  • Supports students with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, multiple disabilities, and other complex learning or behavioral needs within inclusive and specialized educational settings.
  • Participates in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings by contributing behavioral recommendations, progress updates, and measurable goals aligned with student needs.
  • Develops and delivers professional development and training for school staff related to evidenced-based strategies, crisis prevention, positive behavior supports, and classroom implementation practices.
  • Collaborates with families and caregivers to promote consistency between school, home, and community environments and provide resources and behavioral guidance as appropriate.
  • Supervise/sprovides oversight to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs).
  • Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Master''s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or related field of education from a regionally accredited college or university required;
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Experience

  • Three (3) years relevant professional analyst experience working in school-based settings and with students with significant cognitive and behavioral support needs required;
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics

  • Knowledge of special education law, IEP processes, and positive behavioral interventions and supports (PBIS).
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with professional Colleagues, staff, students and parents.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with personal computer applications and spreadsheets relating to statistical research and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with diverse populations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with business technology applications (e.g. Video/Web Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite -Word, Excel, Outlook, and/or PowerPoint preferred).

Licenses and Certifications

Employee must retain active licenses, certifications, and enrollment as a condition of employment.

  • Hold or be eligible for Board Certified Behavior Specialist (BCBA) Certification issued by Behavior Analyst Certification Board, Inc required.
