Brown & Brown is seeking an Analyst - Data Analytics & Network Evaluation to join our growing team!

The data analyst is responsible for collecting, processing, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to extract actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making within an organization. This role involves utilizing analytical tools, statistical techniques, and programming languages to manipulate data and generate reports or visualizations. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in data analysis tools are essential for success in this position.

The ideal candidate must have a proactive approach to work, a problem-solving aptitude, and a willingness to learn and adapt to emerging industry practices. They should be motivated, well-organized, and a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Developing strong working relationships with clients and team members is essential. How You Will Contribute:

  • Use statistical software and programming languages (such as Excel, SQL, R, or Python) to process and manipulate large datasets.

  • Identify patterns, trends, and relationships within the data to support decision-making.

  • Collect data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, APIs, and external repositories.

  • Analyze datasets using statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization techniques to identify patterns, trends, and insights.

  • Build predictive models, clustering algorithms, or classification techniques to solve business problems and extract valuable insights from data.

  • Evaluate model performance, validate results, and iterate models as needed to improve accuracy and effectiveness

  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation summarizing analytical findings, methodologies, and assumptions.

  • Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib) to present complex data analysis results to key stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

  • Customize visualizations based on audience requirements and preferences, highlighting key insights and trends.

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with a solid foundation in mathematics and statistics.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and statistical software or programming languages (e.g., SQL, R, or Python).

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to extract insights from complex datasets and drive actionable recommendations.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Tableau, or Power BI) and techniques for creating charts, graphs, and interactive dashboards.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets accurately.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Aptitude for problem-solving and critical thinking, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Previous internships, projects, or coursework in data analysis, statistics, or machine learning are advantageous.

  • Demonstrated passion for data-driven decision-making and continuous learning in the field of data science.

Pay Range

$90,000.00 - $90,000.00 Annual

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
