Primary Functions: To support the Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance / Accounting Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting financial analysis, forecasting, and modeling to assess business performance and investment opportunities
- Preparing reports, presentations, and projections for senior management or clients
- Evaluating current and historical financial data to determine company value and investment potential
- Studying business, industry, and economic trends to inform strategic planning
- Assisting with budgeting, variance analysis, and financial planning processes
- Performing ad-hoc analyses and providing recommendations for portfolios or individual investments
Qualifications/Training:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years automated accounting experience.
- Advanced MS Excel experience
- Able to handle high volume of transactions
- Month end and year end journal entries
- Prior experience at a manufacturing company is beneficial
- Ability to recognize quality expected and be able to reproduce it
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be computer literate and have some working knowledge of a general accounting systems
- Must have the ability to read, write, and perform mathematical computations at a level required for successful job performance
- Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards.
- Ability to operate and understand the operation of all protective safety equipment in the area.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
- Hand-eye coordination.
Experience (PLUS +)
- Prior Great Plains (ERP) experience preferred, Prior audit experience
- Cost Accounting exposure / experience
