Description

  • New Financial Operations Opportunity - Houston, Texas*

Location: Houston, Texas

Compensation: $100,000-$130,000

Schedule: Hybrid

We are partnered with a multi-billion dollar hedge fund and investment management firm, who are looking to hire a Financial Operations Analyst to work with their 15 - person team based in their Houston office.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for driving forecasting, owning strategy, and building models
  • Trade booking and settlement
  • Daily portfolio and cash reconciliations
  • Risk and regulatory reporting
  • Assisting with the preparation of fund financial statements
  • Supporting quarterly and annual RFIs
  • Bringing new ideas to the finance function
  • Cross functional work with multiple teams on board
  • Translating ops performance into actionable financial insights for exec decision making

Qualifications

  • Must be based in the greater Houston area
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in public accounting, hedge funds, or fund administration
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and attention-to-detail skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to meet project deadlines
  • Strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity
