Retailer Financial Analyst (Analyst II) - Key Accounts Focus
Join the California Lottery's Finance Division as a Retailer Financial Analyst and take the lead in supporting our retailer partners. In this role, you'll manage financial operations for Key Accounts-including chains and route-model retailers-where accuracy, insight, and strong collaboration truly make a difference.
What You'll Do:
Own Key Account Financial Operations: Handle daily billing functions such as adjustments, collections, and account reconciliation. You'll become the go-to expert for understanding how our billing systems behave differently for chains, multi-location partners, and route-model retailers.
Solve and Support Retailer Issues: Assist locations with reconciliation questions, resolve variances, and analyze complex account discrepancies with precision and clarity.
Maintain Financial System Accuracy: Perform internal systems reconciliations to ensure billing and revenue data align across multiple platforms. Document variances, open tickets, and provide detailed observations and recommendations.
Deliver Completed Staff Work: Research answers to your own questions, propose solutions, and provide well-reasoned recommendations to management. You'll act as a subject matter expert on Key Account financial processes.
Support Enhancements & Fixes: Participate in system testing for new features or bug corrections, offering clear feedback rooted in real operational experience.
Contribute to Major Projects: Play an important role in internal unit initiatives and enterprise-wide projects, lending your analytical expertise and operational knowledge to improve efficiency and reliability.
Partner with Sales: Work closely with the Sales team to support the needs of Key Accounts, providing strong communication, timely insights, and collaborative problem-solving.

This position is headquartered at the Sacramento location and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as assigned. Travel expense to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Eligibility for telework requires the employee to reside in California per California Government Code Section 14200 which states: "telecommuting means the partial or total substitution of computers or telecommunication technologies, or both, for the commute to work by employees residing in California.
