ANALYST II / ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES / HUMAN RESOURCES / TRANSACTIONS BRANCH - DISABILITY& SPECIALTY PAY UNIT

The reporting location for this position is 715 P Street, Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the general direction of Supervisor I.

Are you an analytical problem-solver who enjoys navigating complex personnel and payroll issues while making a meaningful impact on employees' lives? The Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking a motivated professional to join our Human Resources team as a Workers' Compensation & Specialty Pay Analyst. We are recruiting at the Analyst II level and will consider qualified Analyst I candidates who are eager to develop their expertise and grow within the role. In this position, you will play a critical role in administering Workers' Compensation and specialty pay programs that directly support employees across California. You will analyze complex personnel and payroll transactions, research laws and policies, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and provide consultative support on matters involving disability benefits, leave administration, return-to-work coordination, and specialty pay programs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy analytical work, problem-solving, interpreting policies and regulations, and providing exceptional customer service. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to develop expertise in Workers' Compensation, disability and leave benefits, personnel transactions, payroll administration, and State human resources practices.

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

ANALYST I will also be considered for recruitment purposes.
