Job Description and Duties
Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department, is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Full-Time appointment to the Analyst II classification for Patient Accounts.
Under the general direction of the Trust Officer, the Analyst II is responsible for maintaining accurate patient financial records through conducting reconciliations of Keefe Cloud accounting system and FI$Cal General Ledgers. Prepares daily, weekly, monthly and end of fiscal year financial reports for all patient ledgers, patient savings accounts, and Patient Benefit Fund (PBF) transactions. All reports are prepared for submission to Department of Finance by extracting financial data from multiple sources and detailing the information to ensure accuracy and consistency. Reviews, identifies, analyzes, researches, and reconciles all deposits, disbursements, and adjustments for any errors and inconsistencies.
Processes all withdrawals to patient's ledgers in Keefe Cloud System. Conducts monthly bank reconciliation for trust bank account. Analyzes, processes, and logs Board of Control Claims. Prepares, analyzes, summarizes, and reports all canteen and vending monthly invoices. Is responsible for analyzing commissary receipt report and downloading daily imports from Canteen contractor which includes verification of sales and deposits. This position is required to periodically meet with our patient population to discuss financial information and several Trust related documents.
This position is fast paced and at times is very challenging. A high degree of efficient and complex analytical skill is expected.
Desired Qualifications:
Spanish language skills are desirable but not required. Incumbents who successfully pass a bilingual Spanish proficiency examination and met applicable certification requirements will be eligible to receive the bilingual pay differential in accordance with State policy.

Working Conditions
Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
