Final Filing Date: 5/8/2026 Application Methods: Electronic (Using your CalCareer Account) By Mail Drop-off Print Job Save Job Job Description and Duties Under the general direction of the Assistant Personnel Officer (Manager II), Analyst III is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Career Executive Assignments (CEA) and Exempt programs for the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). The Analyst III performs a wide range of complex and sensitive assignments and provides both consultative and operational support in areas including CEA and Exempt appointments, project management, audit reviews, business analysis, research, forms development, and the development of policies and procedures on behalf of the Classification and Selection (C&S) Branch. The Analyst III serves as a subject matter expert and consultant on all aspects of the CEA and Exempt programs, including the establishment, revision, and filling of CEA and Exempt positions. The incumbent leads special projects involving classification and sensitive classification packages and independently represents DIR Human Resources in communications with control agencies, including the State Personnel Board (SPB), the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR), and the Governor's Office. Working Conditions This job is located at: 1416 9th Street Sacramento CA 95814 The incumbent works in an air conditioned, high-rise office building with natural and artificial lighting. The building is located downtown close to public transportation. DIR offers a hybrid schedule in accordance with the department's telework policy, with staff currently working on-site up to 2 days per week.
