A leading middle-market investment bank may seek an Investment Banking Strategy Analyst to support deal strategy, financial modeling, market research, and client presentations. These roles are ideal for candidates who want exposure to both transaction execution and strategic advisory, gaining insight into how deals fit within broader corporate objectives.
Build and maintain financial models (3-statement, DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution) to support transaction and strategic analysis
Conduct industry research, market benchmarking, and valuation analyses to inform strategic recommendations
Support live M&A, capital markets, and restructuring engagements from a strategic perspective
Prepare pitch books, investment memoranda, and presentations highlighting strategic insights for clients
Assist with due diligence, data room organization, and transaction execution while assessing strategic implications
Collaborate with senior bankers to evaluate client business strategies, market positioning, and deal rationale
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Strategy, or a related discipline
Strong analytical, quantitative, and strategic thinking abilities
Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing deliverables
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, or FP&A is beneficial
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and common financial research tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet)
