Join us!Job Description:This job is responsible for supporting end-to-end credit underwriting and monitoring processes for new and existing clients. Key responsibilities include completing credit analysis, evaluating risks, and writing financial analysis using various tools and systems. Job expectations include analyzing financials, projections, industry data, covenant compliance, collateral, and policy requirements to ensure alignment with the bank's risk appetite.Analyst role for the Leveraged Acquisition Finance team, which advises, underwrites, and executes both broadly syndicated event-driven leveraged finance transactions and investments for Bank of America's $25 billion private credit investment strategy.Responsibilities:Analyzes client financial information, identification/mitigation of potential risks, compliance with regulatory requirements and evaluation of collateral in determination of credit worthinessCompletes monitoring activities via analysis of clients' financial performance and collateral evaluation to ensure appropriate requirements are metListens in to client meetings to develop a deeper understanding of the client's business, management team, and past and future performanceReviews completed client requests to ensure compliance with policy and proceduresUnderstands how credit data is used internally and provided to regulatory partnersAssists with periodic portfolio reviewsResponsibility for the underwriting, risk / reward analysis, negotiation, approval and closing of new transactions, while adhering to all relevant policies and proceduresAnalyzes client's financial performance by comparing it to past performance, projections, and industry standardsEvaluates transaction and relationship risk-adjusted profitability to facilitate the allocation of capitalBuilds granular multi-scenario LBO and DCF projection models based on historical performance, industry forecasts, and other due diligence findingsConducts due diligence with Sponsor and Corporate clientsCreation of ad-hoc PowerPoint-based analyses in support of live deals and investmentsRequired Qualifications:Experience in financial analysis and financial modeling within leveraged finance, capital markets, investment banking, private credit, private equity, or similar analytical environmentsHands-on experience building financial models, with the ability to explain key assumptions, outputs, and downside considerations to executive level leadershipExperience quantifying downside risk on a pro forma basis using financial statements, consulting reports, client projections, and transaction-level due diligenceExposure to leveraged finance and private credit investing concepts, including cash flow analysis, leverage, and varied debt structuresWorking knowledge of LBO modeling, including ability to do a bottoms-up build of a model, familiarity with structure, key drivers, and sensitivitiesAble to efficiently work on multiple live deals simultaneously with minimal oversightDesired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related fieldPrior experience with leveraged loan, acquisition financing, or private credit transactionsExperience working on live deals in investment banking, private credit, or capital marketsExperience conducting complex investment return analysesAbility to independently navigate credit agreements and other relevant debt documentsProficiency in explaining complex deal and debt‑related concepts clearly and concisely to stakeholders, and clients as necessarySkills:Analytical ThinkingCredit Documentation RequirementsFinancial AnalysisLoan StructuringRelationship BuildingActive ListeningAttention to DetailCollaborationUnderwritingWritten CommunicationsBusiness Process AnalysisData and Trend AnalysisIssue ManagementRecording/Organizing InformationResearchShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40 Learn more about this role Apply × To proceed with your application, you must be at least 18 years of age.
