Job Responsibilities:

The Analyst, Material Control role is to ensure the timely supply of all purchased parts within the assigned area, from suppliers to the unloading location, while maintaining optimal inventory levels and data quality standards. This role autonomously monitors and controls a defined range of production parts, emphasizing inventory management and adherence to quality requirements. Orders and releases raw materials. Liaises between production and customer service. Conducts cycle counts and investigation. Monitors and tracks performance of suppliers. Assists in supplier development. Prepares and issues purchase orders for blanket production material at negotiated prices that meet divisional goals of cost competitiveness. Handles customs and brokerage issues for production material, equipment and supplies.

Your Tasks

  • Responsible for timely disposition and tracking of assigned purchased parts from supplier to plant.
  • Analyze and manage production-critical parts, including organizing urgent shipments when needed.
  • Optimize stock range and minimize surplus material within the business unit.
  • Process and evaluate complaint reports related to logistics and implement corrective measures.
  • Ensure consistency and process improvements in subgroup operations, coordinating with group leadership.
  • Lead and manage the defined group, including work scheduling, substitution planning, and motivating team members.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and training among employees.
  • Represent Material Control as needed and handle quality and logistics complaints in the quality platform.
  • Create, archive, and process shipping orders, scrapping delivery notes, and material bookings in the Steyr Automotive System.
  • Execute system corrections and archive booking requests as required.
  • Coordinate with adjacent departments (Supplier Management, Materials Management, Plant, Shipping, Controlling, Invoice Revision, Documentation) for material flow and process optimization.
  • Monitor shipping orders for delivery date adherence and escalate urgent complaints to appropriate processors.
  • Diagnose and analyze system data, optimize records activities, and participate in internal and supplier meetings.
  • Manage change processes, including coordination of part changes, new assignments, and discontinuation control of old parts.
  • Maintain logistical supplier assessments, request and follow up on replacement deliveries, and escalate parts issues as needed.

Who we are looking for

  • Degree or Certification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in Supply Chain processes and planning
  • SAP and basic IT understanding and database knowledge
  • Fluent in English
  • Data accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Automative Manufacturing
  • Experience with system implementations or migrations
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Time Management & Organizational skills
