Analyst or Associate

Company Description Mickelson & Company, LLC, based in Sioux Falls, SD, has been a leader in tax credit advisory and monetization since 2005. The firm focuses on arranging tax-motivated investment capital, with particular emphasis on the railroad and renewable energy industries. Mickelson & Company partners with clients to structure efficient transactions that maximize the value of available tax credits. Team members gain exposure to specialized financial markets and regulatory frameworks while supporting investments that drive infrastructure and clean energy development.

Responsibilities:

\n

·       Coordinate closing of financial transactions (tax credit assignments)

\n

·       Ensure the timely completion of the required documentation package

\n

·       Coordinate communication between clients and counter-parties and their advisers

\n

·       Set up shared due diligence site and gather documents from relevant parties

\n

·       Draft documents as required based upon form templates

\n

·       Be technically proficient in legal and diligence matters, including tax requirements

\n

·       Read contracts and develop list of outstanding items

\n

·       Create progress reports on diligence status

\n

·       Work with renewables team of analysts, associate, director, vice-president

\n

·       Other duties as assigned

\n

 

\n

Required skills:

\n

·       Bachelor’s degree:

\n

·       Preference for 5 years relevant experience, preferably in such fields as analyst, contract specialist, loan processor, real estate closing specialist, paralegal, other financial transactions

\n

·       Proficiency in software (e.g. Word, Excel, Adobe, DocuSign, Salesforce)

\n

·       Read and understand contracts, statutes, administrative rules

\n

·       Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

\n

·       Work effectively in a team-oriented environment

\n

·       Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills

\n

·       Pleasant persistence and tenacity

\n

Reports to:

\n

·       Vice President – Renewables

\n

 

\n

Other:

\n

·       In office five days a week

\n
