POSITION PURPOSE:
The Investments Group at CIM is comprised of investments and portfolio management professionals working collaboratively to a) source, structure and execute new investments, and b) ensure that investment and fund performance align with the fund objectives. The Portfolio Oversight function leads coordinated efforts to design the composition of CIM's funds, maximize the value of its investments to drive fund performance, and communicate ongoing fund performance to investors and prospective investors. As a critical part of the Investment Group, this position will provide portfolio oversight support to a subset of funds and/or investment vehicles within the firm's Infrastructure platform, in partnership with the lead portfolio manager. Additionally, this role will offer significant exposure to CIM's wide range of investment platforms active in principal investing across the Real Assets industry.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Portfolio Oversight: support portfolio oversight efforts by developing a strong understanding of the strategy and underlying investments and assisting with asset‑level analysis to help inform decisions.
Acquisition analysis: support PO's analysis and assessment of new opportunities. Responsibilities include:
Participation in weekly pipeline and deal screening discussions.
Assessing how proposed acquisitions impact portfolio exposures by sector, geography, duration, leverage, and income stability.
Review of underwriting models and investment memos.
Portfolio Composition Review: assist in evaluating portfolio composition by providing analyses that support acquisition and disposition activity. Responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining target portfolio allocations by sector, market, and risk profile.
Monitoring concentration limits, diversification targets, liquidity needs, and alignment with investor guidelines.
Evaluating market, valuation, and capital markets trends to inform go‑forward portfolio positioning.
Developing hold/sell analyses across the portfolio.
Portfolio and asset-level leverage analysis: provide analysis and support for decisions relating to leverage & lending.
Asset Management: provide analytical support to monitor the overall performance of all assets in the portfolio.
Track progress of each investment against its business plan.
Collaborate with other CIM departments to make recommendations for asset-level decisions, including leasing, property management, development, and construction.
Review and share recommendations/insights on annual budgets and business plans.
Review quarterly third-party appraisals for senior management.
Help prepare regular updates for investors and internal stakeholders.
Reporting, Fundraising & potential new Products: contribute to materials that meet the needs of existing and prospective partners and co-investors to support our portfolio's activities.
Market research.
Investor and Consultant reporting (Quarterly Variance Analysis, Update reports, etc.)
Assisting in the development of presentations and materials to support marketing and due diligence efforts (Flipbook, Annual and Quarterly reports, DDQ, Case Studies, etc.)

Actual base salary considers several factors including but not limited to geography, job-related knowledge, experience, and budget. The start of the salary range is typically associated with the minimum experience required. At CIM, base pay is one part of the total compensation package. This role is eligible for bonus pay in addition to base salary. The anticipated base salary range for the position in Los Angeles, CA is $90,000 - $120,000.
