Our products include debt and equity financing, mergers & acquisitions (M&A), corporate banking, institutional equity sales, trading and research, fixed income products, derivatives, energy, foreign exchange, and precious metals.Purpose Responsible for executing on a broad range of transactions. Responsible for preparing client presentations and financial modeling. Work closely with the Associates/Associate Directors to support the Directors/MDs in managing client relationships in the industry sector. Contribute to the overall success of the team ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.What You'll Do Champion a client centric focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge to deliver solutions that Scotiabank can provide across its footprint and generate revenue. Relationship management and cross collaboration includes: Coordinating with the various product groups and industry team within GBMDeveloping and maintaining effective industry relationships with legal counsel, external parties, clientsThe day-to-day responsibilities include: Evaluating and analyzing the financial needs of corporate clientsCreating marketing materials and presentationsSupporting transaction structuring and execution efforts, with increasing levels of responsibility and accountability over timeIdentifying and developing business opportunities with clientsPerforming comprehensive financial statement analysis and creating and maintaining modelsCollecting, consolidating, and interpreting company and industry dataFinancial and written analysis of companies and industriesApplying product and capital markets knowledge to help clients achieve their financial objectivesActively contribute to a high performance and inclusive work environmentWhat You'll Bring 0-3 years' work experience in Investment BankingBachelors or Masters Degree in Business, Finance, Math, Engineering, Economics, Science or TechnologyStrong quantitative skills focused on financial analysis, accounting and financial theoryStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent command of Microsoft Suite, with an emphasis on ExcelA high level of attention to detailA high level of energy and a keen desire to learn new conceptsObtain and maintain required FINRA registration and licensing appropriate to your functions and responsibilitiesWhat's in it for you Scotiabank wants you to be able to bring your best self to work – and life, every day.
