Westlake Management Services Inc. in Houston, TX seeks Analyst Principal – Functional SD. Worksite: 2801 Post Oak Blvd., Houston, TX 77056. May telecommute up to 2 days per week. Must put job code (R32135) on resume and on cover letter.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with SAP and other associated business applications implementation, design, configuration, support and upgrades; gather and organize business requirements, analyze data requirements, perform systems analysis and design activities, and support system development, testing, and delivery efforts.

  • Support all phases of the system development life-cycle process for SAP and other associated business application.

  • Modify and/or enhance SAP following an established project management methodology.

  • Define interface requirements, and work with system vendors on external systems interfacing with SAP.

  • Define project scope and objectives.

  • Develop detailed work plans, process flows, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables.

  • Conduct project meetings and provide project tracking and analysis.

  • Facilitate and lead analysis and design sessions with functional users and business managers to document procedures and to gather functional requirements.

  • Create/review and QA functional designs and specifications for configuration, application security, reports, data conversions and interfaces.

  • Coordinate quality assurance efforts by creating and executing unit, string, integration and user acceptance test plans.

  • Ensure training materials and user skills are current and coordinate necessary user training. Coordinate project cutover, go-live and support.

  • Research and resolve SAP level 3 help desk incidents in compliance with the Business Unit and IS Management service level agreements.

  • Monitor operation of critical business processes.

  • Review and test software updates. Perform application controls testing for Sarbanes Oxley annual audits. Perform annual disaster recovery testing.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education Requirements:  

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, business administration, or related discipline.

Minimum Experience Requirements: 

10 years of progressive experience in SAP functional roles, specifically in Sales and Distribution (SD) and Logistics Execution (LE) modules with demonstrated expertise in SAP implementation methodologies and configuration techniques, including: Order Management, Logistics Execution, Available-to-Promise (ATP), Pricing, and Billing configuration; with at least 5 years’ experience designing SAP output forms (e.g., Order Acknowledgment, Bill of Lading, Proforma, Invoice); with at least 3 years’ experience working with EDI/IDoc, SAPScripts, and SAP Queries, experience integrating third-party logistics systems (e.g., TMS, Bourque) and handling EDI 410/404 transactions.
